The events in this week’s guide (October 13–19) may start slow, with Monday being a holiday, Columbus Day, but it quickly ramps up leading to a jam-packed Saturday.
This week you’ll find story times, open play, and fall workshops leading into a weekend that’s absolutely packed with fall festivals, markets, and family fun. Saturday, especially, is overflowing with options for every age and interest, from pumpkin crafts to community events and everything in between. There are so many amazing events to choose from, it’s really going to be tough to pick.
Don’t forget that some spots may be closed or have adjusted hours on Monday, so double-check before heading out to start your week.
Here are a few events worth highlighting this week:
- Stroller Workouts & Walks (Tuesday)
The weather is cooling, making it the perfect time to check this out, especially after last week’s rainout. Come join a morning of movement, sunshine (hopefully), and connection. - Storytime at Needle & Grain with TED’s (Wednesday)
This week’s guest reader is from TED’s, who will be celebrating their 70th year in business on Friday, October 18. - Mini Pumpkin Masterpieces (Wednesday)

Two full days of family fun with games, a petting zoo, raffles, inflatables, food trucks, and live music. Friday evening kicks off with an outdoor movie under the stars. - Mid-South BBQ Festival (Friday & Saturday)
Barbecue, music, and community fun fill the streets of Mt. Pleasant with a pep rally, car show, and one of the most creative costume contests around. - Mother Son: Battle at the Pit (Saturday)
An aMuse’um event featuring Nerf battles, fort building, and a take-home photo. Limited tickets remain for this one, so it’s best to sign up early. - Harvest Glow at Row & Co. (Saturday)
A fall favorite featuring pumpkin carving, live music, and a movie screening of Monsters University under the lights.
If you’re looking for more fall activities, don’t forget to check the updated Fall Events Guide for pumpkin patches, festivals, and seasonal outings nearby. While it may not include every single event, it’s the most comprehensive list I’ve found while researching and will continue to be updated. Don’t forget to bookmark it for future reference.
