Family Friendly Activities in Columbia, TN • Week of March 16 – 22, 2026

Weekly family friendly activities in Columbia Tennessee for March 16 - 22, 2026 with the downtown Columbia Square in the background

With March in full swing, St. Patrick’s Day is coming up on Tuesday and Easter events are starting to pop up on the calendar. From morning to night, there are lots of events and activities happening for families around Columbia and Spring Hill this week. Williamson County is back from spring break while Maury County waits its turn, and there are plenty of ways to keep kids busy inside or outside, no matter what the forecast decides to do.

I’m excited to share that Maddy’s Playhouse is our newest Featured Partner! My daughter affectionately calls it the “Dino place,” and from our very first visit it was clear how much thought went into every area, from the big slide and cozy reading nook to the calmer 4-and-under section.

Families can use the code KIDSGUIDE for 15% off your total cart when purchasing Open Play passes online or in person (discount applies to open play only and does not include memberships, packs of passes, or Café purchases). They also offer Dino Moves classes, with options for moms to get in a workout with their little ones and additional classes focused on fun movement and socialization for toddlers.

If you’re tracking upcoming sports and activity season kickoffs, here are are few for this week:

  • Maury County Public Schools Pre-K Registration Day – Pre-K Registration Day is Monday, March 16 from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM at multiple Maury County elementary schools (Highland Park, J.E. Woodard, J.R. Baker, Joseph Brown, Mt. Pleasant, Randolph Howell, and Riverside). Children must be 4 years old by August 15, 2026, and families should bring a record of birth and income verification.
  • i9 Sports Spring Soccer Leagues (Spring Hill)i9 Sports spring soccer starts Saturday, March 21 in Spring Hill with 7-week co-ed leagues for ages 3–4, 5–6, 7–9, and 10–12. Games are held at centralized fields in or near Spring Hill, with practices on game day and start times scheduled between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM; season fees range from $154 to $194 depending on registration date.
  • Jump Start Sports: Hummingbird Soccer and T-Birds T-Ball (Spring Hill) – Jump Start Sports Nashville kicks off two 6-week programs at Hustle Factory Sports Complex in Spring Hill on Saturday, March 21: T-Birds T-Ball for ages 3–4 from 9:35–10:25 AM and Hummingbird Soccer for ages 3–4 from 10:30–11:15 AM. Both series run Saturdays through April 25, 2026, cost $96 per child, and introduce preschoolers to sport basics through fun, non-competitive drills and games.

However this week shapes up, whether it is busy, laid back, sunny, or soggy, I hope you can find at least one thing here that helps you get out of the house, make a memory, and enjoy a little time together.

A huge thank-you to the local businesses that help keep this guide free for families each week, including Baltzer Marketing and Farmer Fred’s Wife. If you’re able, please show them a little love by checking out their websites and giving them a follow on social media.
