Family Friendly Activities in Columbia TN • Week of February 16 – 22, 2026

Weekly family friendly activities in Columbia Tennessee for February 15, 2026 to February 22, 2026 with the downtown Columbia Square in the background

If you are looking for family-friendly events in Columbia and Spring Hill this week, especially with President’s Day on Monday, this weekly guide to kids events and activities has you covered. With schools closed for the holiday and many families rounding out a long weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to get out of the house, try something new, and connect with other local families. Below you will find a mix of free workshops, story times, fitness meetups, and special events happening throughout the week in Columbia and the surrounding area.

If you need a drop-off option for Monday or are hoping to plan a kid-free evening soon, be sure to check out the Parents Night Out Calendar. It is updated regularly with local PNO and drop-off events to make planning easier.

I have recently noticed questions about spring and summer sports sign-ups. While I do not have a full seasonal sports guide put together, I have been adding registration opening dates and deadlines directly into the Events Calendar. They appear as all-day events and are color coded in yellow to make them easy to find. One important deadline coming up this week to keep in mind:

In addition to sports, I have noticed many families planning ahead for swim lessons. With some instructors already booking for summer, I wanted to re-share the roundup I put together of local swim lessons for kids of all ages, with some starting as young as 6 months.

And as an FYI: If you have been waiting for Hummingbird Hollow Farm Market’s reopening date, here is what I have heard. It appears they will not be reopening as originally planned in February and are likely permanently closed. I will share updates if anything changes.

Some highlights for families looking for things to do with kids this week include:

Whether you are planning things to do for the holiday or the full week, trying to stay on top of registration deadlines, or simply looking for something new to do with your kids in Columbia or Spring Hill, I hope this week’s guide helps you find something that fits your family.
