Family Friendly Activities in Columbia TN • Week of February 9 – 15, 2026

Weekly family friendly activities in Columbia Tennessee for February 9, 2026 to February 15, 2026 with the downtown Columbia Square in the background

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and this week you’ll find plenty of activities and events for kids in Columbia and Spring Hill. Whether you’re looking for crafts, special outings, or just a little inspiration to break up the week, there are options for every schedule. Some events require tickets or advanced registration, and a few have already sold out, so if a link doesn’t work, that may be why.

If you’re looking for a full plan, the Valentine’s Guide is a great resource. It includes local events, PNO options, and stores where you can pick up a Valentine’s-themed “little happy” or build a full love basket. There are even a few local delivery options and a Snoopy visit if you want to go all out.

You may have even seen a few simple Valentine’s craft ideas on social media this past week. One of my favorites is our nightly heart wall outside my daughter’s room. Each night I add one heart from me and one from her dad, with something we love about her written on it. Things like “you have a great imagination” or “you are so funny.” It’s simple, but it really brings the week to life and gives her something to look forward to each morning.

A few key sports registration deadlines this week include:

Some highlights for families looking for things to do with kids this week include:

You may also notice more nature-inspired or outdoor activities listed on the guide a little further away. That is intentional. As we move out of winter, these options give kids a chance to explore outdoors even if it requires a bit of a drive. I was inspired by the book There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather, which I picked up locally at Needle and Grain, to highlight some fresh ways for kids to get outside and enjoy nature. These activities are color coded in lavender in the calendar and have the city listed in parentheses in the title to make them easier to spot.

Whether you are looking for a week full of ways to celebrate your child or just hoping to try something new and get out of the house, I hope you find an activity that works for your family. If you notice anything missing or see something that is not quite right, feel free to reach out. And if there is an activity you have been curious about, do not hesitate to ask. I am happy to share my experience with the places I have visited, even if I have not been to every event on the list.
