This Week’s Columbia TN Kids Guide • August 11th – August 17th

Just because school is back in session doesn’t mean the calendar is empty. There’s still plenty to do with your younger kids during the day, and several afterschool options that work well if you have a preschooler or kindergartener.

Here are a few events worth highlighting this week:

  • Tummy Time at Villages Clubhouse (Monday morning)
Offered as a drop-in ($20) or a 3-week series ($55). If you’re planning to attend all three weeks, you’ll want to register in advance.
  • Baby Time at Spring Hill Library (Monday morning)
This gentle, baby-focused program returns to the calendar this week.
  • Family Game Night at Maury County Library (Wednesday afternoon)
Board games and all-ages fun in the library’s community space.
  • Ballet Class at Spring Hill Library (Thursday late morning)
A free, beginner-level class for ages 3–6. No sign-up required.
  • Open Gym at Discovery Gymnastics (Wednesday and Thursday mornings)
A good way to burn some energy indoors. You’ll need to create an account on their website to view full details and register.
  • Party at the Splash Pad in Mt. Pleasant (Saturday morning)
Water play, food, and fun hosted by MP Parks & Rec and the MP Water Department.

Reminder: Unless an event specifically says otherwise, a parent or caregiver should plan to stay with their child during activities. The majority of the activities and events shared are not drop-off programs.

See something missing? Leave a comment or send me an email and I’ll get it added. I love hearing about new kid-friendly events and adding them to the lineup.
